Corporate Technologies Delivers Competitive Edge to Infinity Pharmaceuticals based on 3PAR Utility Storage

Innovative Storage Solution Allows Infinity to Compress Time to Market

Burlington, Massachusetts - Tue, Jul 15, 2003

Corporate Technologies Inc., a leading storage systems integrator, announced that they recently implemented a new and innovative storage architecture for Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge, MA. Serving as a technology advisor to Infinity's technology management team, Corporate Technologies assessed Infinity's needs and implemented a solution based upon a next generation utility storage, offering from one of the newer entrants in the enterprise storage market, 3PAR, Inc. of Fremont, CA.

Infinity is a strongly backed, emerging biopharmaceutical company with rapidly growing data volumes. Therefore, data management is a strategic focus that calls for a centralized and easily managed storage solution. Corporate Technologies drew upon its experience providing infrastructure to pharmaceutical companies to present Infinity with multiple options for further qualification, all of which had been previously tested in Corporate Technologies' Interoperability Lab.

Corporate Technologies, through its product research and evaluation organization, had been independently evaluating 3PAR's InServ in its product testing and interoperability lab. As a result of this evaluation process, Corporate Technologies identified 3PAR Utility Storage as a new category of enterprise storage that provides a scalable architecture and storage management software.

Corporate Technologies began working with the Infinity organization to understand their technical and operational goals within the constraints of their financial objectives. Based on this knowledge, Corporate Technologies' storage architects worked with Infinity's engineering team to define and validate multiple viable architectures to determine the optimal solution.

With its storage solution allowing it to perform live data analysis, collect necessary clinical trials data, and create innovative three-dimensional data modeling, Infinity is compressing the typical time to market for a new drug, saving them a substantial amount of money. Simultaneously, this solution helps them comply with regulatory issues by retaining clinical trials data for several decades.

"Corporate Technologies saved us months of time and thousands of dollars by acting as our technology advisor and only presenting us with storage options that they had already tested in their lab", said Jarrett Goetz, Infinity Pharmaceutical's Manager of Information Infrastructure. "They were eager to share their knowledge and experience, which resulted in us having a high degree of confidence in their ability to assist with this critical technology project."

Corporate Technologies proactively evaluates and tests storage, server and security technologies in its research and development organization; only products that yield strong favorable ratings from this engineering organization are presented to clients. Corporate Technologies conducted extensive testing of Infinity's prototype configuration, providing them with detailed performance results and demonstrating system RAS prior to implementation.

"It's very rewarding to see our investment in technology research and evaluation benefit a client's business in a tangible way", said Harry Kasparian, President and CEO of Corporate Technologies. "We've invested heavily in our R&D process over the past several years. This is just another example of our desire to act as a trusted advisor to our clients, working together to help them gain a competitive edge in their business. This business model is our way of developing long term client relationships."

Corporate Technologies is one of only two systems integrators that 3PAR has selected to resell and implement its products, and the Infinity project represented a significant and early deployment for 3PAR.

Corporate Technologies Launches New Client Portal

This Multi-Vendor Tool Provides Clients With Immediate and Accurate Access to Account Information

Burlington, Massachusetts - Thu, May 8, 2003

Corporate Technologies launched a new and exclusive client portal, providing customers with additional benefits, including easier management of IT investments and maintenance contracts. Customers will now have one outlet to find both historical and current purchase history. This portal provides Corporate Technologies' customers with constant, immediate access to account information.

This multi-vendor tool provides yet another differentiator to separate Corporate Technologies from other integrators. The portal utilizes data mart technology, and is regularly updated with purchase and service contract information from multiple sources.

"Most companies don't have the time or systems to effectively track IT ssets and maintenance contracts", said Harry Kasparian, President and CEO of Corporate Technologies. "By making the investment in building our Client Portal, we have relieved our clients of this burden, and they're very appreciative."

By aggregating and cross-referencing data, Corporate Technologies provides clients with the ability to view comprehensive information about multi-vendor assets and associated support contracts in a manner not available from anyone else. Specifically, clients can access invoices, purchase orders, service contracts, and serial numbers through the tool; this type of accurate and current access is unique to Corporate Technologies and unlike services offered by other integrators.
