3PAR and Corporate Technologies Announce Solutions Integration Partnership
Utility Storage Solutions to Offer Business Continuity, Information Protection, and Storage Integration
Burlington, Massachusetts - Tue, Dec 17, 2002
Today, 3PAR, the leading vendor of Utility Storage Systems and Corporate Technologies, one of the largest integrators and resellers of storage, network, security, and server infrastructure in North America, announced a Utility Storage Solutions Integration Partnership. The agreement between the two companies provides for Corporate Technologies offering professional and implementation services to 3PAR customers. In addition, Corporate Technologies can resell the 3PAR platform on turnkey projects. Corporate Technologies has also deployed a 3PAR InServ™ Storage System for use in its Technology Interoperability Lab. This new relationship offers information-intensive enterprises a means to benchmark, validate, and deploy high-end, highly available solutions built on a Utility Storage model.
3PAR delivers Utility Storage systems built from the ground up to enable multiple applications, departments, lines-of-business, or companies to securely share and to simply manage a consolidated pool of storage assets. These systems offer improved levels of availability, scalability, performance, and density that exceed traditional storage array architectures. Corporate Technologies provides the full spectrum of expertise required to architect, implement, and manage strategic enterprise systems. The power of these two companies together is in delivery of end-to-end, high performance, highly available, secure solutions built on Utility Storage.
Corporate Technologies found 3PAR's scalable, high performance storage combined with its fast, easy installation, and deployment impressive. "3PAR addresses a unique gap in the marketplace," said Harry Kasparian, President and CEO of Corporate Technologies. "This partnership opens up incremental market opportunities for us. It represents a new approach to the storage management problem, which dramatically simplifies storage management complexities."
Corporate Technologies has also deployed a 3PAR InServ™ Storage System for use in its premier Technology Interoperability Lab. The Interoperability Lab can be utilized to demonstrate and benchmark sophisticated high-end computing architectures such as high-availability clusters and SAN solutions. The Lab represents an annual investment of over $1 million in technology backed by 3PAR as well as many other of the industry's leading IT vendors. The facility offers clients a hands-on opportunity to build and test Data Management, Business Continuity, and Storage Optimization solutions prior to deployment in their actual corporate IT environments.
"The merit of Corporate Technologies' professional services approach, its trusted advisory role to more than 400 customers, and its robust technology interoperability lab really drove the decision for 3PAR. Corporate Technologies' high-end professional services and intimate customer relationships are an outstanding compliment to our Utility Storage systems," said David Scott, 3PAR President and CEO. "Our customers are the big winners in this relationship."

Corporate Technologies Awarded Best in Show by Sun Microsystems and CRN
Burlington, Massachusetts - Wed, Apr 17, 2002
Corporate Technologies Inc., a leading systems integration
firm, announced today that it was awarded Best in Show by Sun Microsystems
and the Industry Trade publication Computer Reseller News for the innovative
solutions it has architected and implemented for its customers. The exclusive
award was presented at the iForce Partner Summit 2002.
Corporate Technologies successfully worked with Sun Microsystems and other
iForce partners to provide the professional services required to design and
deliver a complex solution for the digital archiving business unit of Iron
Mountain, the industry leader in records and information management. The Iron
Mountain project utilized technologies from Sun, Veritas Software, Oracle and
StorageTek. Ultimately, this technology implementation delivered by the Corporate
Technologies engineering team, will be the basis of a digital archive which
could become one of the largest in the world.
"Sun has hundreds of great partners, so to be chosen as the best integrator
of Sun's technologies with those of complementary iForce partners is an incredible
honor," said Harry Kasparian, Corporate Technologies President and CEO. "What
this award affirms to our clients is that if you want the best technology architect
and integrator of Sun and complementary technologies, we're the folks you should
call."
The iForce team brought to bear a larger sales, architecture, and implementation
team, with more experiences and expertise, than would have otherwise been possible
with an all-in-one-solution set. "We worked with Sun and our other partners
as a team to assure the solution had all of the appropriate technologies, but
provided a single unified solution that was better than any one could have
individually provided," said Peter Galvin, Corporate Technologies CTO. "By
being a leader of the iForce architecture and implementation team, we are able
to deliver to clients complex solutions without the usual inherent complexity
of maintaining, supporting, and managing a best-of-breed solution. The resulting
facility has best-of-breed functions and features, satisfies client needs,
and bests technologies from other vendors."
"While this award has a technology slant, I think it honors a much wider
group, as the Iron Mountain proposal development required tremendous teamwork
among our sales, business development, technical, finance and executive management
groups," added Kasparian.
