For testing purposes, we rely on a comprehensive set of criteria we have developed over many years. Is the performance as specified? What is the cost/performance ratio? Are there data center interoperability issues? Does the product solve an important business problem? Are there integration or management issues?

We complement our Lab tests—under full disclosure—with feedback to NetApp from selected clients who would be potentially interested in new-technology adoption, providing valuable insight and opinions from actual users on the front lines of implementation.
