We take into account these critical elements of mitigating risk throughout a Data Center Relocation:

  • Hardware - Assess risks due to hardware: age, condition, revision level, & configurations
  • Backup & Restore – Validation of all backup environments including OS, applications, data, and systems backup as well as validation of the restore capabilities
  • Network – Review of the network: architecture, components, IP addresses, wireless access points, and other network/infrastructure for the existing and new location
  • SAN/NAS/Data Storage – Analyze the backup & recovery of critical data storage systems and processes for safeguarding data through the end-to-end migration process
  • Applications – Assess application migration risks including license requirements, warranty and service maintenance impacts. Also understand application risks due to changes in IP addresses, hardware, network components and other issues
  • Enterprise Software – Validate all aspects of critical enterprise solutions that run the business such as ERP, Financials and Point of sales. Key issues include license, warranty, service level agreements, and other risks due to a change in location and/or hardware. Systems and application versions, support, technical updates/upgrades must also be assessed for potential risks
