Oracle Hyperion Planning is a budgeting and planning tool based on the multidimensional Essbase OLAP engine. Oracle Hyperion Planning was acquired by Oracle in 2007.

Oracle Express Server

Oracle Express Server is a multidimensional OLAP engine. It is the platform upon which the analytic applications OFA / OSA are based. Oracle Express server was acquired by Oracle in 1995 and was Oracle's main OLAP engine product until the acquisition of the Hyperion Essbase OLAP engine in 2007. Oracle Express server technology was incorporated into the Oracle RDBMS product as the Oracle OLAP Option from 9i onwards.

Oracle Financial Analyzer (OFA)

Oracle Financial Analyzer (OFA) is a budgeting, planning, reporting and analysis application based on the multi-dimensional Oracle Express Server OLAP engine. OFA is integrated with the Oracle General Ledger to allow rapid implementation of Actual, Budget and Encumbrance reporting solutions for Financials data. OFA can be implemented along with Oracle GL or as a standalone product.

Oracle Enterprise Planning & Budgeting (EPB)

Oracle Enterprise Planning & Budgeting (EPB) is an enterprise level budgeting, planning, reporting and analysis tool based on the Oracle OLAP database option integrated as part of the E-Business Suite. EPB uses the common structural and metadata model within the Enterprise Performance Foundation CPM framework.
