POSITION TITLE:     ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE -  NJ DATA MANAGEMENT

Sales Foucs Area:
Focus on selling consulting services-led Data Management solutions, working with core business partners Network Appliance, Symantec, Commvault and other related storage technologies.

 

Position Summary:
Responsible for the generation of gross profit revenue and lifecycle of sales process.  Directly generate revenue by selling products and services to new and current customers through direct, face-to-face contact and prospecting.  Devise sales/territory plans and strategies and coordinate resources necessary.  Ensure customer satisfaction. 

Provide input into marketing activities.  Represent the organization as the principal customer contact.  Interact with management and senior level executives.  Proactively offers advice to peers and mentors less experienced sales colleagues.  Effectively utilize internal CRM and forecasting tools, consistently follow company business practices and sales processes, and maintains healthy business partner relationships. Work primarily independently to develop approach to complex sales campaigns.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.  

  • Manage sales activities to achieve or exceed assigned gross profit objectives through account and territory plans, monthly forecast, and resource coordination to ensure efficient and consistent sales results.  
  • Work with business partners to build credibility through product expertise, broad and deep account management skills, and a consistent track record for closing collaborative partner opportunities.
  • Maintain high gross margin by selling the value proposition and by creatively leveraging partner programs
  • Introduce  product and industry Subject Matter Experts when appropriate to  advance and win sales campaigns
  • Prospect for new customers to determine their needs and degree of interest in company's products and services. Deliver sales presentations and introduce resources that address customer identified needs and concerns.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to maximize product/services satisfaction and obtain new sales.  Ensure proper professional services and other post-sales support is provided.
  • Input and maintain all customer relevant data and progress in CRM program.
  • Forecast accurately and maintain sales reports as needed.
  • Remain informed of company’s products and services in order to more effectively perform sales activities.
  • Communicate regularly with manager regarding issues and opportunities around most important sales campaigns
  • Attend training and maintain necessary certifications to work effectively with assigned focus area business partners
  • Stay informed of competitors' activities.


Essential Education, Skills, and Environment:

Education and Work Experience:  Bachelors degree with 6 to 15 years of outside sales of systems technology products and services or related experience, or its equivalent or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.  A proven ability to successfully close and manage a sale to the attainment of financial and organizational objectives. 

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:  Excellent knowledge of complex systems products and multi-party negotiations.  Excellent consultative selling skills and strong negotiation skills.  Ability to analyze issues and present effective resolutions.  Excellent time management, decision-making, presentation and organization skills.  Professional appearance and presentation required.  

Equipment and Applications:  Strong PC skills, including experience with Excel and CRM tools.
